It is a bit unfortunate that planning a wedding can be an incredibly stressful process for many. It really should be a simple process to create your dream wedding at a cost that you can afford. Reality doesn’t follow what should be though. It follows a special set of rules that makes some decisions very difficult. Picking out wedding favors is one particular instance of this practice in action.

Wedding favors really shouldn’t be a big deal when planning a wedding. The music and the catering do deserve a nice chunk of your time. They are going to be what makes or breaks the ceremony. Wedding favors aren’t the deciding factor in the wedding’s relative success though. It can feel like it though, since it is one of the simplest ways that you thank the guests for attending. Going cheap on the wedding favors just doesn’t seem right in the end.

You have to escape this mindset though. Cheap wedding favors can be very nice. You should know that throwing money at something means very little. Really putting some thought into a unique gift is what matters. So don’t just pick up some standard little trinket. Get your guests a wedding favor that they could really use and enjoy after the ceremony. You could get them a tasteful key chain or a nice canvas bag. Don’t emblazon your name across it either. Just leave it as a tasteful note near the top. That way they might actually use it, but the thought behind the favor remains. You don’t have to stop at something so conventional either. You could buy them personalized sandals, charms, chocolate bars. The options are really endless and a lot of them are honestly quite affordable when you consider the other options that are usually used.

I hope that you can walk away with a few unique ideas for wedding favors. These won’t make or break the wedding, but it would be nice for your guests to like the favor. It would be even nicer if it didn’t cost an arm and a leg. So sit back and really think about your guests and what they might like in a gift. It will be hard to come up with something general enough for all of them, but you should be able to at least cater something to the personalities of your friends and family. That should be good enough.

I think that the key to the best wedding favor is, like you said, that it is personal to you. You want a wedding reception that people will remember and the wedding favor should reflect who you two are.
